| The FIBA Group, a respected and well-known player in national and international markets, was founded in 1987 by Husnu Ozyegin. The Group controls an investment portfolio of high-value brand names in both financial and non-financial sectors. The Fiba Group's investments in the financial services industry are in banking, leasing, factoring, insurance and NLP finance. Its non-financial investments are in retailing, real estate, energy and port-ownership.
Today, FIBA Group operates in 12 countries ranging from the Netherlands to China. There are 63 companies inside the Group, 63 nationalities and nearly 11 000 employees. As of end 2009 the total assets size of FIBA Group amounted to about US$ 19 billion.
96.28 per cent of CEB's total share capital is controlled by Credit Europe Bank NV, which is in turn controlled by Credit Europe Group N.V. (CEG), each of which is a part of the wider FIBA Group.
The Fiba Group views Credit Europe Bank Ltd’s operations as a core part of the FIBA Group’s activities and plans to continue to support the continued growth of CEB both in terms of funding and in terms of the transfer of IT support and banking know-how.

Founded in 1994, Credit Europe Bank NV has grown into a solid, international financial services group, ranked in the top 10 of Dutch banks. Today, headquartered in Amsterdam, CEB NV has branches in Belgium, Germany and Malta, with representative offices in China (Shanghai) and Turkey (Istanbul). Furthermore, as part of the restructuring, in early 2008, CEB NV acquired Credit Europe Bank (Suisse) SA and Credit Europe Bank (Romania) SA.
The bank operates under the full banking license supervised by De Nederlandsche Bank (The Dutch Central Bank), focusing on international lending (trade finance). In 1997, retail banking was launched.
